Elizabeth Langreiter - Exhibiting Artist

Art to make you smile and bring happiness to your home

Elizabeth Langrieiter will be exhibiting 3D textured mixed media paintings over the 3 days of this October long weekend, Saturday 29 September, Sunday 30 September and Monday 1 October.

We are fascinated with how Elizabeth started her journey as an artist after being hit in the back of the head with a tennis ball. While the hit caused swelling and pain it did not lead to any permanent damage and did give her a sudden urge to start painting. An example of Acquired savant syndrome a condition where “dormant savant skills emerge after a brain injury or disease…where few such skills were evident before.”

In 2016 Elizabeth was selected as one of the top 100 emerging artists in Australia and New Zealand by a panel of art experts including Ben Quilty, Roslyn Oxley and Amanda Love to participate in The Other Art Fair Sydney. She was invited back to The Other Air Fair for the 5th time, exhibiting in Melbourne recently in August.

Elizabeth's art is now held in private collections in America, England, Canada, Japan, Austria, Croatia, Israel, Slovakia, New Zealand and Australia. Elizabeth been asked to exhibit with the Milk Factory Gallery Bowral, Wentworth Galleries, Gallery 307 Northbridge, Hearts and Mind Art Noosa and was selected as a finalist in the Hunters Hill Art Prize.
